Radmirje
The clay pit Hom is located along the road Radmirje-Gornji grad, about one kilometer south of Radmirje, on a forested slope that stretches from the west to the east. In the years 1970-71, 1974 and 1977, it was explored by the Institute for Testing and Research in Materials and Structures from Ljubljana, and in 1978, by the Geological Survey of Slovenia from Ljubljana. In the exploitation area of the clay pit Hom, 19 wells were drilled reaching the marl or tuff base up to 15 m deep. The sample was collected by Boštjan Dobovšek.
Sample 37 is clay from Radmirje (Styria). The recommended firing temperature is 900–1050 °C. The beginning of sintering is at 1050–1200 °C. At 1100 °C shrinkage is 10 % and porosity 2 %.
