In recent years, the awareness of the importance of preserving the intangible cultural heritage has been slowly increasing in Slovenia. In order to preserve it, we must not only recognize and appreciate this kind of heritage but also sustain, revive and tolerate it. Considering that the pottery tradition for Slovenia has always been of utmost importance, it is absurd that there has been no formal education for potters for many decades. In the long term, we can only follow the challenges of modern society with a respectful attitude towards the past and openness to the future.
Sample 59 is clay from Trebče (Kozjansko). The recommended firing temperature is 900–1100 °C. The beginning of sintering is at 1100–1250 °C. At 1100 °C shrinkage is 15 % and porosity 6 %.
