Pragersko

Slovenska Bistrica is one of the oldest cities in Slovenia. It was built on the remains of the Roman settlement, at the crossroads in the direction of today's Maribor, Celje, and Ptuj. Due to its favourable traffic position and good living conditions, it has developed into the administrative, cultural and economic centre of the area between Pohorje and Haloze. The Bistrica Castle, which is the central cultural and event centre of the city and the municipality, stands in the centre of the city. Since 2003, the Centre for Handicraft and Art Craft has been operating in the manor house.
