A cup with a ceramic lace
By profession, I am an economic technician, but I have felt the desire for artistic expression since my early childhood.
The pottery master Mojca Žalik introduced me to the world of pottery. With her help, I have gained the basic knowledge of pottery.
After years of creation, I have realized that the production of mass and identical products takes my energy away. The market is saturated with this kind of products and in the flood of such products, many are also average and of low-quality.
Therefore, I have decided to create products where I can combine art with usability. When creating, I do not want to limit myself, so I am constantly exploring and experimenting. I have recently developed a technique for the production of a ceramic lace and it is considered an innovation in Slovenia.
Sample 49 is clay from Mengeš (Central Slovenia Region). The recommended firing temperature is 900–1100 °C. The beginning of sintering is at 1100–1200 °C. At 1100 °C shrinkage is 18 % and porosity 6 %.
